G can drift
Yesterday the wind picked up through the morning. Started by G can anchored for perch with little Emeralds. Picked up one. Pulled the anchor to move and the drift was too nice not to try for walleyes before dropping the anchor. Quick action kept us at it with a drift from G to F. Nice limit of Walleye by the afternoon with 2 large fish. Interesting location to be hot in warm water.

Same location yesterday, I stayed anchored during the bump. Got 30 nice perch, 2 22 in. eyes. Went through alot of minnows, perch loved my vodka frozen minnows. Bumpy day, but a pretty good one.

Re: G can drift
Any walleye reports from this week in or around this area? I realize they're much tougher to find this time of year around the islands, but hoping to stumble upon a decent spot. We come out of West Harbor and have done alright out by Middle Island around this time in years past.

Typically out by the Canadian border from North Bass to east of Kelleys is a good place to start. Also south east of Kelleys / north of Cedar Point. You might also try evening fishing just off any of the reefs and shoals. Less boat traffic too.
