We have used a 3oz weight in front of harnesses with our inline boards with no problem.Use the 3oz to get deeper.We would normally use the #2 Tadpole if fish are 25 ft or shallower and they work great too with our inline boards.

I would have tried that but thought it would be to much weight. Good to know. I'll add that to my arsenal next time.

All of these work good. I used the tadpoles for several seasons. They work great with spoons too and any light weight lure/harness. For crank baits, I love clip on weights. Very little drag so they work with light lures that do not dive much and the in-line planer board like em.. But I really love the clip on weights for crank baits. From my 1970’s adolescence terminology, They are: The *⬛ ass!!!! 50 back clip on the weight then know your weight curve and lure curve and let it out a bit above your marks.
