What a day for team Pork Chop yesterday in the LEWT tournament. We launched at 7:15 it was a little bumpy we headed west into MI waters since it blew out of the northwest the day prior we assumed the reefs would be mud and the fish around the island just haven't been biting well at all. We picked up our first 5 fish in MI as we figured many of the boats today would struggle to get 5 fish. Once we had 5 we headed back to Ohio waters to search a few spots we thought would hold big fish. The third spot had them stacked. We upgraded all 5 fish we caught in MI all on blue chrome very high in the water. They came up and fed for just a short time when the sun popped out and then dropped right back down to the bottom and shut off that fast. We weighed 35.98 lbs for 5 fish and that was enough to win it yesterday. Took 4 years to get a win against some of the best on the lake, but it was worth the effort and time put in. Next tournament will be in April out of Port Clinton we will continue our quest towards team of the year.
