Perch 10/3
3 guys fished from 8-4 to take 65 perch about a mile west of mouse. Slow bite and we worked hard for these fish. Went to Marblehead cleaners 17 pounds.
Here’s the kicker, we had them bag them in 3 bags. Mine only had 15 fish so I called my buddies to check theirs and they each had 19. WTH? As if it wasn’t bad enough we got shorted 12 fish from the cleaners! So could this be the problem, apparently when my buddy checked them in he mistakenly told them we had 55. Should that matter? The fish should all be in the basket with our ticket. Or did they take advantage and skim the difference? I’m really pissed off about this!

Could have got the ticket mixed up with another customer but that is no excuse. I would be pissed also. Had it happen to me in the past but opposite I received 10 more fish than was dropped off.
Thanks Matt

I thought our 3 bags of cleaned fish of 70 seemed light at Marblehead cleaners. But I’m comparing to the previous catch of 40, cleaned by the guy in Vermillion. Not sure but I’m paying closer attention next time.

Was it busy. I've never had that problem there. They don't go by count they go by weight. I've seen that place so busy it needs a revolving door. The count should not change. You get your fish not somebody else's. They made a mistake. I would look at the scale when they weigh it to. I've been suspicious of my fish weighing to much. I hope I can find them this week. Perch for me this year have been evading me like I'm the flu.

It wasn’t very busy by the time we got there around 5:00, only a couple in front of us. I hope it was somehow an honest mistake but it just seemed odd that my buddy put down the wrong count by mistake, which he told us immediately after he did it, and the amount we actually got back was very close to that. I will still go back to them for another try, but I will also tell them what happened.

So u have to write in the number of fish ? Butch and Dennys only writes down the weight name and address but not number of fish.
Thanks Matt

They go by weight. Think he counted not knowing. Does anyone know when casting at the reefs around the firing range for walleye is productive.

To fish for 8hrs with 3 guys for 65 perch had to have been a long tough day. That is some impressive dedication to fish that long.We have never fished that long for perch or walleye.Could have been an isolated honest mistake.Hope those cleaners weren't intentionally pocketing those fish you worked so hard for.In some countries, some people believe they deserve a share of other peoples hard work. That is how socialistic societies operate.Glad that here in our great country we still reward people for their hard work.Tight lines.
