I vote for Garmin. I would consider two 7 inchers instead of one 9”. Might even be cheaper

Thanks to all 4 input. Ended up combining lots of advice and going with Garmin 93 sv echomap. . Installed last week, and took out on maiden voyage today. Worked like a dream, great visibility, user friendly...etc. My brother was thrilled, and looks forward to many successful trips using his new electronics. (I get to benefit as well) Thanks again.
