Left the Lakevue Marina about 7:15am Monday. Headed straight up the middle between Kelleys and South Bass. Water temp was 65 degrees.

After about 2 miles I hit 25 feet of water and marked fish. I put out chrome bandits at 2.5 mph and caught 2 walleye quickly.

Then my baits were attacked by large drum. After 3 in a row I'd had enough and moved further north.

At about 4 miles out I was in 28 feet of water and managed two more walleye on the bandits.

At 10am somebody threw a switch and all the action died.

I moved north another two miles to 40 feet of water. Graph showed suspended fish.

I put out a dipsy diver on 3# setting and 120 feet of line. Good old purple/chartreuse full sized stinger spoon was my bait of choice.

That combo caught two more walleyes so quickly I never did manage to get three rods out.

Cruised back to Lakevue with a big grin and an icy beverage.

Tight Lines Y'all.
