Minnows or no minnows
I generally tip jigs with minnows when jigging but due to the circumstances I was reconsidering the stop at the bait shop. Sounds like the usual places are open with minnows so they are available. I was curious how many use minnows when jigging vs plain jig? I also have some gulp minnows and I know a couple guys that like them.

Can you catch these fish in the lake with the twister tails like they use when fishing for the walleye in the Maumee river?

Shiners or Twister tails (goby tails)
When the worm bite is going, if we catch a goby, we used the tails on the end of an Erie Deerie. This has worked for me in the past, and they will stay on for more than one fish.
I have seen people use the white twister tails on a jig and they work, I do like to use shiners and is my first go to when jigging.
