went to maumme river to check first hand, In forty plus years of fishing the
maumme I have never seen it so high and mad, water is over river road from
park to jermore rd, and all thru golf course park, water is in orleans park
parking lot, and roughly 4 ft. from parking lot at white street, waves hitting
the island roughly 4 ft. high, one stupid college kid trying to fish by himself at
orleans trying to stand on sewer pipe which is roughly three feet under water,
maumee bait and tackle says river is 12 feet above flood stage and rising, if no more heavy rain, it will be friday of next week bbefore any fishing at all
can start. the current downtown toledo has channel markers leaning from
the current. water temp is in the forties.
