2019 Walleye Hatch
I have been perch fishing twice this year and we have been catching a lot of 4" walleye from this hatch. In fact we are getting doubles at times. 2 trips we have caught 101 perch and over thirty 4" walleye between the intake and the gravel pit.
I have been hearing throughout the summer that the walleye hatch was very good this year. Has anyone seen any official publications on this?

That's the first I have heard this years hatch could have been another good one. That would be remarkable to add another good class to the 2015 and 2018 hatch. There has been some speculation on the high water level recently affecting the better hatches lately.

its sounding like another good to very good hatch. based on 4 inch fish being caught and talking to minnow guys who are saying its tough to sort the shiners from the walleyes... so make room for more walleyes
