Yes. Because of the fact that the spoon is attached with a small snap swivel, the spoon will have the same flutter action on the end of the line, even if you're using a higher pound test line like 20# fluoro. I use whatever I have handy at the time I make my leaders (which I tie up in advance and keep on a pool noodle). The last batch was 17# fluoro...this batch is made up with 16# Sunline Super Natural mono.
