I had a training trip today with a fellow from Michigan that inherited a boat and wanted to learn how to rig it up and troll for walleye. We did a lot of talking and showing different ways to rig and troll different times of the year. We trolled with lead core, snap weights, in lines, bottom bouncers, dipsy's and jets. Obviously the wrong time of year for most of those but he wanted to learn so, he learned. We finally started to fish for a few walleye north of kelly's and we found him a limit. We trolled bandits deep all fish came 30 to 35 feet down. The fishing was slow today. Lots of great marks just not so many takers. The mission for today was accomplished and he has some great ideas on how to rig his boat and how to spend a bunch of money on some new tackle and boards It was certainly a beautiful day on the Lake, hope for many more to come.

I have an open date available for a charter this Friday 4/26/19 looks to be a really nice day to get out on the lake. Give me a call to book. Walk on's are OK for this Fridays trip.
