East end trip
Took a charter trip with captain Mark Szekly out of Conneaut Ohio with Gizzmo charters today. 6 man limit 116# at the cleaners + 6 bonus walleye and some huge white bass. Definitely doing it again.

First mate warned us the bite had been poor lately. We were only the second charter that limited out, set down in 70 feet of water and 5 hours later we were headed in. I can see why the bites been bad every one was packed full of spiny water fleas. I dread the day when they hit the Western basin.

I think we might be OK in the western basin. The flow is from west to east and they cannot tolerate warm water. I've seen scientific studies that found they cannot tolerate water over 78F.
