Finally made it out after a 34 day drought. Left the dock at Meinke's at 8:50 AM. The plan was to go out straight north 12.6 Miles to the Turn-Around-Buoy, When I made it to the half way point there was six boats posted up, I decided to stop and give it a try, Started out good but died about 12:30, by 1:00 I only had 16 in the box. pulled anchor and went out another 4 miles. Dropped anchor again by 3:30 had my limit, took 6 hours but it felt good to back out on the lake,(catching fish). Decent grade of fish mostly 9's, 10's & 11's, (10 lbs) 6 throwback Yellow Ones, 4 Shitheads, 4 - 4" inch Walleyes, released unharmed. Great day on the lake, hopefully things will be heating up in October, I'll be back at this weekend.
