A buddy hit a log with his 196 a few years back and had it sent back to Starcraft. It took forever to get and the new boat name was Frankenboat.. they had rivets going all over the front right but it rode fine. It didn't leak from what i can tell because most of the water came from the spray.. they didn't replace the entire hull they just patched the damaged area. good luck
