Tru Trips and spoons
I've got a question for you guys that pull the tru trips and spoons. Do you run crawlers of your spoons or just the spoons? whats a good spoon to run? Just getting into the trolling and any help would be appricated. Does the color of the tru trip make any difference? Thanks Randy

You can run spoons with crawlers if you want. Most don't as it is a reaction bite trolling from 2.5 to 3.5 mph on average using spoons. Most any Michigan stinger 2.5" size, Warrior spoons to name 2.
Purples, pinks, greens, blue/silver. Are your basic colors. And yes. There are days where the color of the jet can make a difference. But unless you are out most everyday. It is not worth having all the colors IMHO. Black, pink, green, purple at most.I can only hope I have earned the freedom that has been given me.

TT color not a big factor but i do like the smoke ones
no worm on spoons there is what is called a worm burner.. spoon in front with 2 hooks behind that you do use a worm
michigan stinger is probably one of the popular spoon used purples and uv colors work good for starters they make a lot of choices

Right now I really don't think its necessary to spend the money, time, or make the mess with crawlers, not with this hot bite going on. Small Stinger spoons in Purple Demon color are working for me right now, though I know everyone has their favorites that work for them.
