i have the cannon single axis ratcheting holders and tracks on my boat and they are great. you can set them to the down position with one hand. then just grad the rod and lift and they ratchet to the upright position then just lift the rod up out of the holder. no more leaning over the side of the boat when a fish hits.
i run lite bite slide divers and they are the answer for sure. the single axis is the best for me because you can adjust them up to 70 degrees as much or as little as you want. the double axis only adjusts from one pin hole to the next pin hole, but does go 360 degrees. i got mine at amazon.com for a lot less money than most other holders.

Are your plans include trolling boards? I would look at the triple or quads for the big boards and then look at the trees for inline boards. Not sure Big Jon has the trees. The triple or quads are nice. Will you be using tracks make sure you get them long enough to use with either on and to c.y.a. for future additions. I am using triples and had to change tracks because of adding singles for dipsy's or bottom bouncers if wanting to add rods for that purpose. I am running a 22 footer so things have to be added
when needed and stored on this Lil. minnow.

Tried like hell to attach a photo to this reply......done trying. Hopefully this link will work.
Are you pulling big boards? Interested in something like these? They are cheaper than you'd think, and can be customized for your boat.Capt. Eric Litton

Don't quote me on the price, but for a full set of board rod and Dipsy holders, probably be between $1600 and $2000...... depending on number of holders and how much custom work you want. Mine are seriously customized, with 2 trips up to the boat to measure and make drawings... These are made by Bill Woods. Give me a call and I can get you in touch with him.
