The two most popular replies are going to be off shore tackle, and churchs. I see a lot of both being used every weekend on the lake. There are some other makes like ziggy and few others being used too. I have used off shore and church, both worked very well. They each have their pluses and minunes. I personally use off shore on my own boat, but only because I found a smoking deal.
The clips you use will be determined by the line your using ( braid, mono, floro ), if you want your boards to release or not, and if releasing do you want to board to slide back down the line or do you want to stay lock in right where it was till you take it off. So there is no one right or wrong answer to this question, they all are proven to work, they are just taylored to how you want to fish.
If unsure on some of these options, it's best to fish with someone or take a charter with someone that fishes the gear, see the options, try it out before you drop coin. We all have spent a lot of money buying the wrong stuff before
Walleye fishing in may is normally very strong, but not normally considered prime hog season. But big fish are still being pulled.
Last year in may we often pulled 150+ fish a day to get limits......with over 75% of those put back being 14" all those fish will be legal this year. May should be awsome fishing this yearLast edited by branhamautomotive; 03-20-2018 at 08:37 PM.

Good advice on boards below.Personally like offshore inline boards.Early may should be good fishing, but that is traditionally when water temps reaching 50 degrees. When that happens, that is when the jig bite fades and the worm harness start catching. For trollers, that is when guys start using spoons or worm harnesses instead of cranks.
