I plan on going out late March for some walleye and was wondering if anyone catches perch that early in the year

I have caught them on jigging raps in March.. I often jig the same stuff I ice fish with in March. Mixed bags of eyes and perch.

Several years ago we were killing them less than a mile from shore of reno beach and they were loaaded with eggs.I think it ws mid april. Butch and Dennys were deep frying the egg sacks they were delicious.
Thanks Matt

I've never been there for perch that early, but I have read several times over the years that area around Metzger pier produces early spring as well as later in the fall
