    Default Spoons

So my question is the split rings
I recently started pulling spoons with tadpoles which by the way are amazing. On my spoons I have put a split ring in the line end of the spoon and had two straighten today. Can I just use a swivel on the spoon or does there have to be something there thanks and any info is appreciated.

I use good ball bearing SPRO swivels on just about everything, spoons included. I have no problems.

make up some leaders with good quality mono ( 17 - 20 lb.) and a ball bearing swivel at one end and attach spoon / crankbait / worm harness to that. Ball bearing swivels are pricey but worth every penny. Using this method will cut down on the number of swivels that you have to buy and more importantly will prevent line twist.

I put the best grade of barrel swivel on each spoon ,but pull mine with jets that have a ball bearing swivel permanently attached and my leader has another ball bearing snap swivel, and a plain snap, can't have enough swivels as far as im concerned if I run inline weights I still use a leader. Thinking about using one when I troll cranks to keep down on twists. From the short spinners. Getting much better at detecting them. But there's always that little bugger that eludes me lol! Tight line's gotta go fish on!!!

I use sampo ball bearing swivels with all my spoons and harnesses. just good insurance to prevent line twist.
