birthday fish
Yesterday me and my now grown up three boys made a trip out to the lake. This is the first trip of year. The weather yesterday was beautiful and lake conditions perfect. We launched out of fenwick headed to west sister fished the south side tried to jig no success. After a while of driving and trying to mark some fish with very few marks we decided to head east. I pulled up some old marks and headed to them. Not really marking a lot of fish but decided to head east of the little pack of boats. I dropped lines in with perfect 10's and bandits. Trolled few hours no success. Finally I put all bandits on some customs that I painted. We trolled .8 mph bandits 80 back. We finally had a board go off. We got our first walleye of the year. We ended with 5 fish the biggest 11.8 pounds. It was one of best birthdays yet just spending it with my kids. Slow day but a good one
