Cedar Point Break Wall, and Huron River
Got a "beefy" 4-man limit just south of the Cedar Point Break Wall today, in 25 FOW.
It took 6 hours, and the bite improved (frequency & size) as the afternoon progressed.
A good number of boats there, for this time of year.
Word has it that there are even bigger Perch being taken just north of the Huron River.
Has anyone heard anything of such (the Huron area)?
Might have to give it a shot, tomorrow.

45 perch in Huron today, many of good size, fast and furious from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. for us then slow pick. Just out from the Huron, maybe 400 yards North from the lighthouse and dredging machines. Plenty of boats marking the spot.
Edit to add: 45 perch weighed 18 poundsLast edited by Davesnothere; 11-05-2016 at 08:56 PM.

Went back to the Cedar Point Break Wall and stumbled upon a school of 10" Perch.
So lucky to have experienced one double after another, after another, after another...
(Have often heard of it, and now I've lived it.)
It's a nice frustration, having difficulty getting the Line back down in quick fashion.

I am looking to come up on Wednesday and have been having a great honey hole of 8" perch all fall over by the GCan but I would like to end the year with a heavier weight. Can you give us a better idea of where you are setting up on these fish. I noticed the waves are suppose to be 3-5' wed morning so inside the break wall would be a much better spot. I doubt there will be very many boats out there on a wed to mark the spot for me. Any additional help would be appreciated

As soon as you get beyond the eastern edge of the Break Wall, go south.
One day we were perhaps a half mile south of the Break Wall, in 25 FOW.
The second day we were a half mile south of the Break Wall, in 28 FOW.
East of the mid-point of Cedar Point Amusement Park.
Another Note - further south, there were a good number of boats, clustered together.
There was a large Head Boat there as well.
They looked to be anchored east of a Water Tower (an older style Water Tower).

Supposed to be a NNW wind, 16 - 21 kt, waves 1 - 2 ft.
If you are using the Sandusky public ramp, be mindful of the waves near the Break Wall (on the north side).
The NNW wind drives the waves into the Wall, and they often bounce off/back - causing an irregular chop on the north side.

Will there be anyone familiar with this area fishing the cedar point break wall in the morning that I can look for. This has to be my last trip of the season if I intend to stay married and I am hoping to find some of these bigger ones.
