10/23 Perch at Kelleys
Made it out with a buddy Sunday. Water was horrible between Mazurick and Kelleys, but it cleared up some as we rounded the East side of Kelleys.
Wanted to get back out to the fish at Gull but the hard West wind made it generally unpleasant at 10:00, so we came back to the NE side of Kelleys in 43 FOW and stayed out of the direct wind. Caught just about everything except steelhead and smallmouth ! Yellow Perch, White Perch, White Bass, Catfish, and Walleye. Considered moving around to get away from the trash, but decided to just relax, enjoy being on the water catching fish, and not stress about limits. Ended up the day at 2:30 with 45 Yellow Perch weighing 17 lbs. Not such a bad day after all ! Quite a few 10+ inch fish with a 15 inch 1-1/4 lb jumbo to top it off.
Sorry about the sideways pic. Can't get it to cooperate..
