    Default Walleye - Maumee Bay - Little Cedar Point

    Went perch fishing this Saturday and to my surprise, the walleye are back!

    We started catching several short walleye 13-14 inches on larger Minnows while perch fishing. no bling, single hook.
    We were in 17 ft of water in the Bay with several Charters around us.
    I figured, what the hell, lemme put one on a may fly rig and pull it. We were anchored, so we were not covering any area except as far as my 7 ft rod could cast.
    I put the biggest minnow I could grab out of the bait bucket on through the nose and bam! 18 inch, right away.
    The others continued to perch fish while I pulled in 5 more keepers. BTW, the others were catching short walleye too!
