When my son was a pup I taught him how to fish. Now he teaches me. He had a day available so we drove up. I wanted to fish for perch but he said he would rather stub his toe than fish for perch so walleyes it was. He found a good pattern trolling reef runner 800s in a rather tight figure 8 over the shoal at Marblehead point. we were in 15 to 20 fow 25 to 30 back at 2 mph. I'm sorry I don't remember the silly names of the baits but the green ones were best. We ended up catching about 20 with 9 keepers from 16 to 21 inches and 2 lucky 15s that went back. The shorts are getting bigger too. Most are over 10 inches now. The next few years should be great.
