SE of NW Reef 6/26
Fished Sunday a few miles SE of NW reef. Like everyone caught 40+ eyes and kept 8 all but 1 keeper on Bandits the other on stinger spoon dr.hook. Bandits were running with 2oz inline back 60-75 with offshore boards, color really dint matter but most were taken on IB frozen or eriedecent. Spoons were running behind TT40s back 60-80 various colors but chicken wing and dr hook were best producing through out the day. Tried different speeds but 2.0 - 2.2 seemed best for us. Chromes seemed to be better in the morning (before 10am) then copper was better in the afternoon. Wind went flat for a bit so did the bite. Picked back up around 12 and bite was back on, we fished until 1:30. Dragged fish around for a while also so check baits every 15 minutes or so at minimum. Just another observation... Must have been a bass tourney up there or something but we spent a ton of time avoiding bass boats in west harbor, they where EVERYWHERE! Glad those are not to frequent, the fishermen didn't really seem to have any knowledge of how harbors/channels work...
