Starve Island 5/11
Fished Starve Island area today. Only pulled 2. Blue Chrome Bandit 80 back 1.5-1.8. Me and the wife have been fishing every day we can since 5/6 best day we have had was Saturday we pulled 6 same program has today. I know it's been a tough bite for everyone but if you have any info that can help I sure would appreciate it.
Thanks
Tom

We were there last week. Fished Green island to rattle snake. Used gold spinners with red beads. Boards set at about 30 in front of spinners. 1.0 1.2 mph. Ended up with 10 fish on Thursday.

What were you using to obtain depth? Were you using Jets, Tru-Trips or inline wts and what size? Each of those depending on size would be a different depth. Just trying to determine what is actually happening on the water right now, seems to be some very different reports right now on depths, baits/lures used and speeds! I am not questioning what anyone is posting about what baits they used or how many they caught or how deep they were fishing but am trying to determine how the fish are reacting. I can see a pattern developing here and just need some more info.

We go through this almost every year in the beginning of May. The fishing gets spotty and tough to figure out. Don't worry they'll be jumping in the boat before you know it. They should take off in a week or so.
