Jigging question
Since I'm new to jig fishing I have another question. When drift jigging is it better to cast out a little bit in the direction your drifting and work the jig till the boat gets to it? Or should I b on the other side facing the wind dropping it verticle. Might try this afternoon any insight would help thanks ya'LL.

Either will work. I like tossing out downwind and allowing the boat to drift to the jig. Most bites will come as the jig is beginning to go under the boat. Some people will only fish the upwind side. This takes a different technique and drift speed will affect the hop you use. You will also use a heavier jig fishing in this direction as well when compared to the downwind side

I like to cast to the side and let the jig swing to the upwind side. The bite usually comes as the jig changes direction. The "swing" as most call it.
