Cheap Reel needs some help
I have a very cheap Walmart Special Shakespeare rod and reel combo - the rod is great - -the reel is getting a bit... sticky -- The other day I cast, and tried to start the retreive, and the bail went halfway over and stopped -- took a bit of fiddling to get it working again - -id like to replace it - -but right now money prohibits -- is there a way that I can maybe lube it or something to keep it going for a while?
Thanks, TIM

usually, i find the bail is bent is bent. take the screw out of the small end of the bail and gently bend it to where the hole in the bail matches up with the hole in the reel. it doesn't hurt to use a little light grease on it. now replace the screw and it should work better. give it a try you have nothing to lose.
