Radio interview
I am scheduled to be on Buckeye Sportsman with Dan Armitage this Saturday morning at 6:05 AM Radio 570. A few things I didn't mention in detail involves the tackle. I use 8' Browning rods with Shimano 4000 Side Stab reels and 7' graphite rods with Shimano 2000 Side Stab reels, both filled with 12# Trilene XT monofilament line. I tie a #3 simple snap on 2' of 14# leader and connect that to the main line with a barrel swivel to prevent twists. Add enough drag that it allows a good hook set but loose enough that the fish can take some line. Tighten the drag just enough after a good hookset that if it wants to run, it can. Footnote: Check the leader after every netting for damage. A frayed line can mean a lost fish. Also check the lure for bent or missing hooks.
