Perch Fishing

Went perch fishing probably for the last time out of SP yesterday, 3 guys & we ended up with 5 keepers, not our best day! lol FYI The launch docks are pulled out & the sign says closed until further notice but you can still get a boat in & there is a sand bar crossing at the outer break wall.

SP/ 2017, From what I hear SP is almost totally closed off (only about 3ft open) due to the sandbar across the opening to the lake. Seeing how the town of Evans is bankrupt SP will probably be open late if at all. I am thinking we early perch guys might need to get together with our shovels & dig a 4-6 ft trench to dredge across the sandbar if we want to get into the lake. lol any thoughts? I heard some guys got out this past weekend(1/21-22/17) & did get a few walleyes & perch.
