Water Dogs~ Perch Report

NW of Lakefront Marina again today (14 fow), 4 more milking male walleyes.
Spreader drag for perch did get a bite today but did not get a hook set.
Green jigs for the walleye tipped with a shiner.
Head boat worked the area but did not stay long and headed north west.
5 other boats were working the area and I did see some boats netting fish.
I did not see any trollers in the area, just jigging.
Camp Perry red flags were out and they were firing today.
3 hours today, most bites were early and noting in the last hour.

Saw you out there today water dog, I was the pro line just south of you with 3 guys, finished with 8 and lost about another 4 at the boat left about 20 minutes after you purple seemed to be best color for us today

16 more (hog) yellow perch using spreaders, shiners and no bling.
plenty of sheep head, some white bass and 6 too small walleye (returned to get bigger)
7 pounds at the cleaners, no white perch, however the sheep head filled in to get plenty of this dogs bait!
many boats and head boats west of me and some trollers.
very nice day on the lake.

I love your posts Waterdog! I can just envision you out there having a great time catching fish. Keep having fun and thank you for your reports.

16 yellow perch, SE of G can today in 22 fow.
using spreaders and shiner golden mix.
fished 9-12, and 5 pounds at the cleaners.
(2 cat fish and 3 sheep head ~ released)
there were 5 other boats spread out in the area perching.
hope this is the start of perch time!

30 yellow perch today and 4 hours to bag them
6 throw backs (good to see some young perch)
4 walleye these guys were small less than 6 inches (educated but unharmed)
3 sheep head and 2 white perch
Using pinhead shiners today, just big enough to cover half of the hook
these are nice perch 10 pounds at the cleaners
another fisherman at the cleaners told me they were at D can today and got 90 !
he said it took a while to find them.
the puke pile told me they were eating gobies.

Did you catch yours at D can or G? I'm going out tomorrow morning. I haven't had any luck so far.
