Ice Boom Removal Starting!!!

They are back taking the ice boom out. Figures, all the ice got blown to the west.

It looks like the boom sections are out but the buoys that hold them are still in. Now a navigation hazard. I don't think that they are lighted either.

a lot of boats out this am on boom cam/ wonder where they are going ??

Jeff. I'm not sure but a few years ago, in a past life, when I worked for Bethlehem Steel / Lack. Coke. I use to go up on the top of the slag piles ( what a view )and saw boats anchored off the the port side of the south shipping channel. If you would go from the south gap to the mid channel marker ( which isn't there anymore ) about a mile or two out. There were perch there at one time. ????
