I am assuming that Southwinds will be beneficial and a little bit more easy to deal with then north west or north winds.

I am a big fan of the sailflow website / app. I've been using it to help predict forecast for Lake Michigan

You would be correct. Any MPH of north winds can make for a crappy day when it's still this cold, plus the waves have a lot of room to build.

Any NE or E winds are no good S,SW,W,NW are the best winds I'm coming out may 2nd for a week just praying for no blow days
