30 more yellows south of G can , again, only 2 hours today.
nice day on the lake, many boats in the area.
using golden shiners, spreaders and no bling, watch the light bite.

overcast, but much cooler on the lake today.
south of G can, 20 fow, golden shiners, spreaders, no bling.
back at dock by noon, 8 throw backs and one sheep head.

2 hours is all that was needed today to catch those perch.
south of G can and away from the pack, many boats in the area.
using golden shiners, spreaders and no bling, watch your pole tip that light bite is on.
on the way in a head boat was fishing in 12 fow just off camp perry for walleye.
I tried, but only caught 4 sheep head and a nice catfish.
Very nice day on the lake,
Plan to be there again on Saturday.

12 more pounds of perch south of G can (20 fow)
Caught this nice Large Mouth ~ returned to lake.
spreaders, golden shiners, light bite.
3 sheep head, and a very young 6 inch walleye, all returned to the lake.
did have some yellow perch throw backs.

Water Dogs, when you get a chance please take a good photo (if you can) of the spiny water fleas you are finding in the stomachs of Yellow Perch and post it on this thread. Lots of people would probably like to see what they look like coming from the perch. It would be helpful if others would also check for them, so we can get an idea of where they are in the Lake. See if perch caught in various locations are also eating them. Good info for perch fishing.
I can tell you where some were two weeks ago. A few miles out from Cedar Point we were trolling for walleye and our lines collected bunches of them moving through the water. Funny looking little buggers. I'm guessing the two little black dots were eyes? The perch we caught out by middle the week before were also full of them.
