    nice yellow perch ,
    SE of G Can,
fishing from 9am to 2pm, 3 of us today, 61 nice yellow perch and 23 pounds at the cleaners, very nice and no throwbacks , wow .
spreaders no bling and on the bottom with goldens and a very light bite, had to work for it , but very nice yellow perch,
did get one sheephead and 3 white perch,
south of the pack, these perch are large and have seen plenty of perch spreaders.

Default Gut pile results ~ yellow perch (Tuesday August 21st)

cleaned my last catch of yellow gold, and the results are; spiney fleas and some gobies.
these perch belly's are full of those things.
most if not all were full of the fleas, with some of the perch having both.
back at it soon, hope the storms today did not move the schools.
Get out and get some "yellow fatties".
    Fish On!

So Water Dog has Water Fleas..... Ha, no offense, just couldn't resist that one.

Think you are right. Hope those suckers don't shut down the bite. Last year that happened about his time if I remember. Good catches in August and then we struggled with half limits much of September. Need to figure out how to mimick those things with a hook and fish on the bottom. Oh for the old days where they would come up and hammer your bait...

When we fish the finger lakes in New York for lake trout we have FLEA line on all reels. The line is triangle shape not round, so it cuts the fleas off as you troll. You still have a few but sure makes easier reeling and not having a clump of debris at your rod tip. It's hard to find now because the company (Cortland) is now out of business. I found a complete spool of it on e-bay a year ago. Good Luck.
