Yes the jig bite should be slowing down....may is usually great harness fishing though. This is the first year I have not gone early spring after the big girls. Pretty disappointed.

Well, I'll share the blame for the lousy weather also. A week ago Monday, I got mine ready to go, and it has been blowing ever since, mostly from the East. I was at least a couple weeks later than usual getting ready to go, and now I'll be close to a month late for my first trip due to weather. Oh well, it is spring in NW Ohio.
How soon we forget. Remember last May and early June? No big rain events to pump muddy water into the Lake from the rivers, and very few windy days (if there were they were from a southerly direction). The water was as clear out off Port Clinton as we've seen it in a long time. Satellite showed clear water for more days than I can remember. Guess this is the price...
good chance this blow may actually lower water temp in western basin and postpone the worm harness bite a week or two.Will probably take till next week till bite picks up again due to the blow.
