Went out of sbh today, Monday. Boated 3, 26",25", and an 18", lost one at the net, we're learning. The wind was a pain, a bad tangle, then one of our new trolling rods broke as we netted the 26", fat bastard. Had fish fry for dinner, Call it a success anyway.Attachment 3291

That's why I stopped using those years ago and switched to all Okuma. I had way too many do that. I'm not saying we don't break any but very few. Its strange it broke where it did you don't see many that go in the center like that.

Yup it's goofy. It's probably the 4th or 5th fish caught on that rig. Now I have to send it back to Eagle Claw and get it replaced. I'll put the okuma from that stick on an Ugly Stick, my fav.

When I was in the fishing retail business from 1983 thru 1989, Eagle Claw fishing rods failed at a higher percentage than any of the other brands out there. It was so bad with them that I chose not to stock them. Here it is some 30 plus years latter and it still looks like they failed to correct the problem.
