You are much better off staying around Hamburg some where and fishing out of small boat harbor for bass. If its bad weather you can still fish behind the wall.

Lots of good fishing in the outer harbor. And don't overlook the upper river around grand island for bass either.

There is NO ice at the boom as of Monday morning. Get ready, it wont be long now.................. < '((((((((><

Was at Erie basin today & saw no ice at the boom or out in the lake. Only ice I saw was on the Canada side & not much there either. There was a tug boat out by the boom moving around.
Just saw on channel 2 news ice boom is being removed! Started today.

Any predictions how opening weekend will be on the eastern end near SBH for 'eyes?

It'll be a slow night bite till it warms up more. I hate to say snd these temps aren't helping it out much.

water temp is 36 if I remember last year the bite didn't start till end of may

this mornings paper stated the sbh will have limited access for the opener and till the harbor opens on the 15th
