Catawba state park to put-in-bay yet?:d

Ok so i live over an hour away from the lake so i count on everybody on here to keep us up to date. So, are these few days of record setting cold gonna do much for making ice, or is the 30mph + winds gonna prevent the lake from freezing up??? I mean, is the western basin pretty much locked up or not really? I usually try to go out of Catawba so whats it like within a mile of shore there? You dont have to get out very far to catch walleyes. Any info would be great. Thanks guys

Well from Pics I have seen on Facebook the lake is Frozen over to the Islands just don't know how thick it is! I'm waiting for answers so I will report back if I get them! -Dave
