We get most of our bait at Daves also, but we have noticed his count seems to be short lately also. Millers gives has a better count it seems. Also as we figured the price didn't drop down to before vhs prices when they had to buy minnows from out of state!

I paid 7 for a dip at millers and my jaw dropped when he told me the price. I just need to stick with netting my own

Anyone have any other spots to dip your own emeral minnows other than Ferry,Ontario, Sts. or Sherdian boat ramp area? I was told under the new bridge where the canal/channel is near where the old republic steel plt. was. only not much parking close there.

Beaver island state park on grand island, anchor marine, mid river marina, isle view park. Probably beaver isl. state park is best BUT check the DEC regs there are only certain days you can dip there.

Thanks, but I was looking for something a little closer to home. Its a 20 mile trip for me to get to the river almost not worth it, sometimes think maybe cheaper to pay the $7.00 a dip

It's over 30 miles for me to get to Ferry St. I feel your pain.....oh the things we do for the love of fishing.

2 friends were out Tues. & kept 50 nice ones in 58 fow between sp & evengola white wall. Also heard same area but out deeper over 66 fow.
