Was it NY where I read that they are thinking about changing when licenses are good for? Right now, they are Oct. 1 to Sep. 30, but weren't they looking at making it expire 365 days after the day you purchase it?

I think starting next yr. the fishing licenses will be good from the day you buy it until that same day the following yr. Kind of like a ton of feathers & a ton of lead, the same thing only defferent !!

Also they are dropping fishing licenses to 25 bucks and going to change others in some haibrained way the way it sounded in proposal but i haven't heard anymore about the liberal scheme. Sure it'll cost us more and drive more people to not buy them. As if NYS hasn't done enough already. I hope weather forecast holds i'll be out sunday i hope.

What did I hear about making the licenses from Jan 1 st to Dec. 31? Wasn't that proposal? Isn't that what Canada does?

At a regional hunter safety instructor refresher course back in April, the info on the propsal to change license years was that the license year would begin on Spetember first.
