Shoulda tried bottom bouncing a worm or jig

I was out there (windmills & Smokes Creek) from 8pm -1am last night - NADA! Tried jig'n, troll'n sticks and plugs....Marking fish - but no luck...

When is this bite going to start?

Lots of fish out there. From right on shore and out deeper. Most fish I saw were actively spawning and weren't interested in anything live or artificial. I can tell you that there weren't any fish to be seen at smokes mouth. They were mostly towards the last 2 windmills.
If I were going to try fishing them during the day. I would look for the first major drop off at 30fow. And would drift it with a jig and minnow or small blade worm harness.

We were out yesterday & did what Copo said & got zippo. Also a friend was in the corner between smokes & Hamb. beach & did the same, zippo! He marked fish but no takers.

Pray to the sun gods need a little more warmth in the H2O, it was a cold spring. Last yr was way warm early on. These temps the next few days won't help but rain warmer than lake and good penetrating sun light will. I think it's a good wk still maybe a little more but time is getting close.
