I heard the same rumor about lack of funding and no dredging for sturgeon, so I called them up. The lady there said that they were going to open like normal on May 15, and that dredging would start soon. (this was a week or 2 ago). Then I asked her "well I heard this rumor that you guys may not dredge it out, or even open this year, because of a lack of funding" and she told me that was the first she'd heard of this, everything was normal this year. Even offered to have the marina guy call me back to tell me when the dredging was going to start. So hopefully I've got good info...you never know when the government is involved, I've seen them stop projects halfway done creating 3 times the expense when the money runs out.

I got my bill and paid it this year from Sturgeon Pt. All is going as usual as far as I know. Last year they did open a little later than May 15. I don't remember the date but I think it was a week or two later.

Good luck out there looks like a nice morning. dec says people have been catching them. I'm late this year rebuilt my carb and other tune up work to finish up but the boat was running in the driveway. You retired guys are lucky!

Beautiful day today, fished out in front of the Catt. in 47 - 51 fow. It was slow at first but picked up later in the Am. we kept 50 of the bigger ones. females are full of eggs & pretty girthy(if there is such a word). Our biggest was 14.5". We saw 2 other boats getting them really good. Fyi, Hanover launch the docks are in, we launched at the state launch & still no docks there.

Yes I'm scheduled to work Sunday so the weather should be good. I had my baby next to the house all winter. I took the shrink wrap off it last Sunday. I've been charging the batteries and was planning on putting them in today but I didn't get that far. I was working on the lawn tractor today and got into more than I expected. Of coarse you know how that goes.
