Such strange weather the we have been having, good to see the rain for the lake levels.
Will do some hunting and see if I can get some good news and reports.

Good to hear from you Dog. We got some quick limits 2 miles NW out of port last weekend. Back at it tomorrow.
5 keepers today nice eaters, one return to =grow, a yellow gold milking sent back to make more, 1 catfish , 1 farm animal, spreader with shiners got 2 walleye and the yellow gold, the others were on the shiner tipped green deer with stinger.
Water Dog,
be safe back soon if weather says so
We jigged this same area today - NW of PC and N of PC. Fished from 18 to 15 fow. About 30 boats in the area including 4 head boats. We saw lots of netting going on. We ended up with 16 keeper walleyes, 1 keeper catfish and I think 4 keeper white perch. Threw back at least one of each of those species. It was not a fast bite for us but steady enough to keep at it, especially with all the success in the neighboring boats. Walleyes were 14 - 19 inch males as expected.
6 MORE WALLEYES!
4 sheep head 2 huge catfish 1 white bass 4 white perch
(these guys liked the worm harness )
spreader caught 4 walleyes no bling and a shiner
(spreader was just off the bottom straight down from the boat)
Jigging caught 1 and a worm harness caught the last one.
Many boats NW of the Portage , many boats in the area and plenty of head boats.

Friday 4-17, foggy start ~ kept this dog at the dock until fog cleared. NW of Port Clinton in 12 fow south of the pack.
Managed 6 nice eater eyes, lost two at the boat. Using John Deer jig tipped with shiner. 3 sheep head. All male walleyes a milking.
Thanks to all for your updates,
Be Safe,
Water Dog
Thanks for the sharing of information. Im new to digging, have always trolledfor them. Do you anchor or drift?
I drift for walleye, sometimes I use a drift sock to slow down with any pushy winds. I have a spreader that I tip with shiners, and use a john deer green jig tipped with a shiner and a stinger hook. All is as close to the bottom.
My true love is perch fishing and that is an anchor and hope for a good swing.
You can see my honey hole gps on the save photo on this site.
When the walleye worm bite hits I drift again with crawlers and any worm harness will do.
I like the erie dearies.
Late start today, out of the Portage river.
NW to the pack area, 15 fow, crawlers on a spreader, on a gold erie dearie and a gold worm harness.
4 head boats in the area , two went in before noon so they must on them. 3 keepers today, one lost at the boat and 3 returns unharmed. 4 farm animals, 6 white perch (careful they are squirting) one yellow gold keeper.
Come get yours soon!
