You can also simply see it on the GPS coordinates. It'll increase as you head North.

Re: Ashtabula 8/24
From Ashtabula it's like 13 miles NNW just to get to 70 feet. Then it is super gradual as it gets deeper and the next 12 miles only adds 5 feet.
I fished quite a bit this year and last and got... -

Re: Ashtabula 8/24
Thanks guys. Yeah I want to do Geneva too. From my Navionics App it looks like you can hit deep water a lot closer...may e 10-12 miles out? 20-25 seems overkill but I had to to get to 73-75 FOW. ...

Ashtabula 8/24
So basically by the time I get out 25 miles offshore NNW I imagine I am close to straight North of Geneva.
I want to launch there and will soon, I just didn't want to leave fish to find fish.

Re: Geneva 8/23
Nice work Sir! I got out late and didn't do much for a couple hours. Found them up by the line and from 11:30-1 got 12. They just showed up all over the place where they weren't earlier.

Re: Ashtabula 8/22
Yes, 50 to the weight and another 150 for a total of 200. Most of the fish are deep which is why Budman is running longer. The 5 oz weights at 50/170 or 50/180 were way better than the 3 oz for me. ...

Re: Ashtabula 8/22
Sorry....I forgot a few things. The best fishing was 74-75 FOW. I ran bandits. The best lead for number of bites was 3 oz snaps at 50/200. All the big fish were 5 oz at 50/170 though. One big...

Ashtabula 8/22
Hey. Lines started going in around 1:00. Man PFK was right. Only about 2 1/2 - 3 feet deep leaving the launch to get out. I don't draft much so was ok.
Went out NNW to 73 FOW where I had been... -

Re: Geneva 6/16
I was there a few weeks ago. 72-76 FOW. Most of my fish were within 10 feet of bottom and they were hungry. Mostly 74-76 FOW actually. Bright chartreuse best color.

This info is in my fish finder but....before that I used to use and and still use the Navionics phone app. It's $50 per year and awesome. Can use it on any lake or area basically...open water, ice...
