Which map are you using and how old is it? I take it you're after Walleye? The Yellow Perch are in closer to shore and numbers are looking very good in case you need to change plans.

1 Way to keep left over Shiners:
Freeze them in a plastic bag, no Water. Sprinkle in some salt....enough to coat them. Put in the freezer. In a few days they'll sort of "mummify". These... -
