Re: Where's the walleye out of toledo
Modis is decent, but NASA Worldview is much better, IMO. The biggest difference is that with the NASA site, you can see the GPS coordinates in the lower right as you move your mouse around. This...

Thanks again Juls! Glad you are doing so well on my Copper Greasy Chicken Wing. You’ve got 3 more that should arrive today, if you don’t already have them. Along with 3 other patterns that have...

Re: Fishing with Nancy, Glen Sr., and Glen Jr....4/30/2024
I’m surprised to hear that you ran harnesses and Bandits at the same speed and they both caught fish. I have done that with worm-burners and Bandits or Bandits and spoons. But I have always had...

Give it a shot on sunny days. It used to be my go-to pattern for sunny days before I had chrome blanks. It’s a very natural looking pattern with some flash. When we get to our limits and start...

Re: Trolling with binder clips and rubber bands
When I used big boards I used shower curtain rings and rubber bands. They worked great for steelhead, but getting the size of the rubber band right for walleyes was more difficult.

I didn't...too many choices and not enough rods to run them on. I run my side and my cousin was running his and we were in CAN water, so I could only run two at a time. Fermi-Nuff was awesome and...

Re: Fishing with Lisa and Tanya...4/9/2024
Good luck with them. I bought 8 of them and they all ended up at the bottom of a trash can. If you can figure out how to make them work for you, great. I was sick of wrapping the line and...

Re: Fishing with Lisa and Tanya...4/9/2024
Understood! The OR-18s work great, but they are a bit pricey. Otherwise I would probably use them on mine too. They don't have a pin though, do you ever have any issues with them coming off? ...

Re: Fishing with Lisa and Tanya...4/9/2024
I have been doing that for years and it works great. I use the black medium tension clips on the front of my boards and put the line about halfway in. Never had one break off and I use 15# test...

Re: December Thoughts.... Using Dipsey Divers....12/12/2023
Awesome write-up Juls. Nice job. The only things I would add to it is per your last point about watching the line angle so you don't drag around a fish. What we do in addition to this is leave...

Re: What to do with walleye leftovers after cleaning
The fish cleaning stations usually have buckets or dumpsters for fish guts. On Kelley's Island, the campground's fish cleaning station has them as well. Otherwise, it can be a pain to get rid of...
