Re: Question on Downriggers and Bandits aprox. 1.2 to1.5 mph
The OP was asking about running a crank close to the bottom off a rigger. It's just easier to keep your crank from plowing bottom if you use a stacker release and a trolling app. Your cannon ball...

Re: Question on Downriggers and Bandits aprox. 1.2 to1.5 mph
Not quite sure what you're are asking. What I attach to the ball is a short(6ft) lead and run a spoon off it. I run my primary bait off a stacker release above the ball.

Re: Question on Downriggers and Bandits aprox. 1.2 to1.5 mph
I never attach a crank bait directly to the connon ball. Instead, I use a stacker release and attach my crank above the ball. This allows you to run a longer lead if desired. Just use a trolling app...

Re: Following A Boat Trolling
Why would you want to run your boards (big or small) that far out. I will add 30' if I'm running riggers and/or divers but at most I'm at between 100 and 120 tops. At 200 to 250 it will take you...

Re: Following A Boat Trolling
Your statement about seeing big boards out 80 YARDS is not possible. The distance you can let your boards out IMO is determined by two things. First, the height above the water of the source of your...

Re: Reading water color for more crankbait walleyes
Don't ever be afraid to fish "clear" water. Just because the water doesn't have the "correct" stain to doesn't mean that you can't catch a walleye on a crankbait. A walleyes pea brain tells them to...
