Nothing like good fresh tuna. Had to be a good fight too. Not missing a thing up here, rainy weather, nice weekend planned though, be safe, Mike
A few more pics!
It doesn't get much prettier than that, walleyes are awaitin, mayflies are too:rolleyes: unfortunately, !!, Mike
Nice haul. There's nothing like Mahi Mahi fishing when you get a school of them going. We fished the gulf a few years back and pulled in 30 in a day, several of which fell victim to my Hoyt, along with a 40lb wahoo!
Punched 3 tickets today! :)
Beautiful fish!
Wow I'm jealous! Awesome pics and fish, and that boat "High Caliber" is sick!
nice fish its amazing how fast they troll and usually you can see the baits just behind the boat. Did you get any bailing? Thats when a whole school follows a hooked up fish to the boat and you use spinning rods with bait to catch them. One year we landed 25 fish in 10 minutes doing that.
Alright guys come aboard the HIGH CALIBER for a little light rod action! The Captain called these rods snoopy rods! LOL

Action shot of the day and biggest fish of the trip thus far! My friend Pat took this 34 lb. Dolphin on Wed. Morning the 12th! Now I got some work to do on FRIDAY my last day here in Marathon!
Here's the shot
THE MONSTER BY PAT "THE ROOKIE" LOL And a cooler full of FISH!!!
Bet that dude fought a little, looks like that sky is about to open up, and what a nice cooler of fish too, you missed the big one around here, might as well come home now :p, have a safe drive, Mike
My little fight on a perch rig! Seriously though a lot of fun!

If I recall correctly, when we got into a whole school of them (found a huge mess of seaweed on the way in one day which they apparently like) we were using cigar minnows. As long as we kept a hooked fish in the water until the next person hooked up, we were good. It was almost like fishing for bluegill in a farm pond the action was so fast.
Great looking fish. Have a safe trip back.
Lunch today at keys fisheries in Marathon
Good morning from the dock! :) last day fellas!
Getting our bait ready!
On our way! WaHoo!
Took 24 Dolphin today! Was a tough bite! 3 guys shy of 6 for our limit!
Home safe and sound drove straight thru! Now its time for a nap!
PS Back to ERIE next weekend! UGH! I am soooo spoiled now! LOL
Gonna throw out some dipsys and see what happens! Can't believe how easy it is to troll down there!
