trolling reef runners
I generally troll spoons or crawler harnesses using jets, dipseys, downriggers. How do you guys troll the reef runners?

Earlier this season I had a smaller boat and couldn't get any lines out. But what I did was flat line right out the back. I would leave out about 125 feet of line.

I run them using offshore boards, depending on which size your talking about, the 800 series will dive 30ft at 180 back, deep little ripper 20ft at 192 back. You should tune each one to make sure they run correctly. If not tuned perfectly they will spin out around 1.8 mph, and not catch as many fish if not tuned correctly.
I can only hope I have earned the freedom that has been given me.

I run 20 lb mono on all my trolling rods. I start out west with cranks and end up in Geneva with inlines and harness's all on the big boards. The only gear i lost last year was courtesy of my buddies tangling stuff up.
